Patrick Swayze plays a con man who tries to live up to the ideals of “family values” by kidnapping his son and daughter from the evil clutches of a corrupt orphanage and taking them on a cross-country trip in his vintage convertible. To complicate matters, his daughter has been sexually molested by the head of the orphanage, who fears that she may prosecute if given the opportunity. How does my boyfriend go about adopting my son when I cant find the Father?
My 4 year old sons father and I were never married, and we never lived together but he did sign the birth certificate and paid child support through Child Support Enforcement. I started dating a new guy when my son was a few months old and since my son only seen his Biological father a couple of times a year, he assumed my boyfriend to be his father. Now the biological father is in custody of Ice (and has been for a year) and I have no idea how to get in contact with him without his Alien number.
Well, we are planning a vacation to mexico this summer and I cant get my son a passport without fathers consent, so me and my boyfriend decided that to help solve that problem and that since the likely hood of my son ever seeing or talking to his father was slim, my boyfriend would adopt my son. We just want to know how long the process takes and how to go about it without paying an arm and leg.
P.S- we live in Georgia and if we did find my sons father i doubt he would sign over rights.
